For Adults and Teens (7th grade and older):
Singers and Instrumentalists Participate Throughout the High Holy Days
Musical participation by congregants adds so much to the spirit and beauty of our High Holy Days services. Adults and teens age 12 and older, please consider joining with your voice and/or other instruments for the High Holy Days this year.

Please save the dates below, all Thursdays, for High Holy Days Kol Hakavod Ensemble rehearsals.
Solo Auditions
July 21 and 25, 2024 (times TBD)
Rehearsals
Each rehearsal should run from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. (with a break for snacks an schmoozing in the middle), although there may be some times (especially towards the last rehearsals) when we need to run a little longer.
Rehearsal dates: Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22; Sept. 5, 12, 19*, 26* (*final for Rosh Hashanah); Oct. 10* (*final for Yom Kippur). All dates are Thursdays, and each rehearsal runs from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in our sanctuary. Rehearsals with asterisks are mandatory for final sound balancing/tech notes.
Services when we will sing (note: for many of these, the choir must arrive one hour early to sound check and do final rehearsing):
- Selichot Evening Service, Sept. 28, 2024, time TBD
- Rosh Hashanah, Oct. 2-3, 2024, times TBD
- Yom Kippur, Oct. 11-12, 2024, times TBD

Early-Service Music Leadership for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Mornings and Kol Nidre
Sign up now to help lead music with other teens for the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur early morning services, as well as a couple of songs for Yom Kippur Eve (Kol Nidre) for Temple Beth Shalom!
Sing and/or play your instrument. You can help lead one prayer or many, whatever is your comfort level.

We will have musical rehearsals all on Sundays at Temple Beth Shalom in the sanctuary on
• Sept. 15, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
• Sept. 22, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
• Sept. 29, 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
• Oct. 6, 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur days are on Thursday, October 3 and Saturday, October 12. The early services will run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. You will need to arrive by 8:30 a.m. Yom Kippur Eve is Friday, Oct. 11 (sound check TBD, but could be as early as 6:00 p.m.).
